Member Representing Umaisha/Ugya Constituency at the Nasarawa State House of Assembly Hon. Ibrahim Abdullah Sa’ad has distributed over 1,700 bags of 10kg rice to the people of his constituency.
The palliative is to enable them use during the Ramadan fast and the upcoming Sallah celebration.
The distribution which cut across the Six electoral wards in the constituency took place at Umaisha, the headquarters of Umaisha Area Administrative Council today Sunday.
The Special Assistant to the Lawmaker, Muhammad Sani who overseen the distribution exercise enjoined the beneficiaries to use them for the purpose they are ment for.
It was reported that Muhammad Sani was earlier at the palace of Ohimegye Opanda Umaisha, HRH Alh. Usman Abdullahi with the truck of the rice provided by the Lawmaker to show the traditional ruler and seek his royal blessing before proceeding for distribution to constituents at the distribution site.
The royal father commended the Hon. Member for his continues sympathy for his people and giving back to the society.
According to him, This is not the first time Honourable Sa’ad is doing this. He has been doing this for long and may God reward him for that”
The Royal Father urged the people to continue to live in peace and unity for the overall development of the area and the state.
Speaking at the distribution site, the representative of the Lawmaker assured the people of Hon. Sa’ad continues commitment to improve on the living standards of the people of Umaisha/Ugyy constituency.
The Special Assistant to the Lawmaker Muhammad Sani, said, it was part of the promises made during campaign to return to the people and give to them what belongs to them.
He reiterated the desire of the Lawmaker to provide good representation at the state assembly, and provide more dividend of democracy by impacting on the lives of the people especially the needy, children, women and the vulnerable.
He commended Governor Abdullahi Sule for providing good leadership in the state and called on the people to support him for more dividend of democracy.
He pledged to support six hundred (600) students with Ten Thousand Naira each to register for the next Joint Admission and Matriculation Board (JAMB) exam.
He said the support will reduce the burden on parents.
Also speaking, Officials of the All Progressive Congress (APC), Toto Local Government at the event which includes Suleiman Musa, Aliyu Saidu, Nasiru Sarkin Pawa, Hon. Jibrin Mustapha all appreciated what Honourable Sa’ad is doing in impacting on the lives of his people.
They called on the constituents to reciprocate the gesture by supporting the lawmaker’s ambition to return to the house of assembly in 2027.
On their part, Chairman contact committee, Abdurahman Musa, Special Assistant to Chairman Toto Local Government Area, Alhaji Aminu Tokoro, Kadija Babson thanked Hon. Sa’ad for positively touching the lives of the people.
The rice were distributed to the people of the Six Wards of Umaisha/Ugya constituency which are Umaisha, Ugya, Shege, Katakpa, Dausu and Kenyahu respectively.
Also, political parties, security agencies, youth, women, and other groups benefited from the benevolent.
