………… Nasarawa Speaker acknowledges giant contributions of the Lawmaker to constituents, State Assembly, support for ruling government in the State.
Member representing Lafia Central Constituency at the Nasarawa State House of Assembly, Hon. Solomon Yakubu Akwashiki, distributed 4 Sharon bus, 22 motorcycles, 60 grinding machines worth N70 million to the people of Lafia/Obi federal constituency to enable them to be self reliant.
Hon. Akwashiki also distributed cash to women and students to improve on their lives and education respectively.
Akwashiki, the Chairman, House Committee on Public Accounts made the distribution today in Lafia.
He said that the empowerment tools was part of his continued commitment to improve on the standard of living of the people of the constituency.
“The essence of leadership is to show love to your people and to appreciate them for their support and votes, this is what I am doing.
“I have provided boreholes, electricity, employments, empowerment, JAMB registration, health interventions, among other programmes.
“By God’s grace, I will continue to do my best and be the voice of the voiceless as well as defend the interest of my people at all times,” he said.
Hon. Akwashiki SDP urged those, who were yet to benefit from his gestures to be patient while assuring of provision of more dividends of democracy.
He urged electorate to only support and votes competent leaders into positions in order to enjoy more dividends of democracy.
“The Bible said When the righteous people are on power, the people rejoice.
“So, I want to call on the people to shun ethnic and religious politics” he added.
He appreciated the Speaker of the State Legislature, Dr. Danladi Jatau, SDP officials and other stakeholders for supporting him to succeed.
The lawmaker declared that he would contest for House of Representatives of Lafia/ Obi come 2027 in the platform of SDP.
He solicited for the support of all and sundry to enable him succeed.
Also speaking, Speaker, Nasarawa State House of Assembly, Dr. Danladi Jatau appreciated Hon. Akwashiki for providing the much needed dividends of democracy to his people.
“This is the third term, I am attending Hon. Akwashiki empowerment programmes. He is doing well.
“I am here on behalf of the Honourable members of the Nasarswa State House of Assembly to appreciate Hon. Akwashiki for the good things you are doing for your people.
“Hon Akwashiki is somebody that has his people at his heart.
“In the Assembly, we are from different political parties but we are working together and in unity for the good governance of the State.
“Hon. Solomon Yakubu Akwashiki has been so supportive to the government of Engr. Abdullahi Sule.
“I want to thank him and other people of the state for their support and cooperation to Gov.. Sule’s administration to succeed.
The Speaker called on Nigerians to continue to embrace unity and peace irrespective of their affiliations for the overall development of the country.
“What we want is united Nigerians, let’s continue to live together irrespective of our religious, ethnic and political affiliations. He said.

Labaran Maku, former Minister of Information, Barr. Akwashiki for touching on the lives of the people of the constituency psotively.
The urged the people of the State and Nigerians to support and vote SDP candidates at all levels during the 2027 election.
They said that Hon. Akwashiki is making them proud through the execution of people’s oriented projects.
They urged the beneficiaries not to sale the items but use them for the purpose they were meant for in order to improve on their standard of living.
They assured him of their prayers and support to enable him succeed.
Responding, Evelyn Markus, Christiana Akolo among other beneficiaries appreciated Hon. Akwashiki for the gesture and assured him of their loyalty, prayers and support to enable him succeed in his House of Representatives ambition come 2027.
